Return to your roots
Your journey into the past begins with a video call, so you can meet David, and he can find out where in Germany your ancestors lived and which other places you would like to see on this unforgettable tour.
After gathering all the necessary information, David will create a personalized itinerary to connect you with your ancestry, as well as Germany’s history, landmarks, and traditions.
Once you’re completely happy with the proposed itinerary, David will book everything for you, starting with your flight to Germany.
You decide
When it comes to the locations, the dates and the length of the trip, the types of hotels, and whether you’d like to explore Germany by bullet train or prefer to be chauffeured by David in a BMW or Mercedes, his itinerary will reflect your choices.
David prides himself on finding charming hotels full of character wherever he goes, always making sure that the accommodation is just as memorable as the places he explores.

History
Between 1820 and the end of WWI, nearly six million Germans emigrated to the United States, making up the largest group of immigrants for 50 consecutive years. Today, more than one in ten Americans has German ancestry, while in Canada, the ratio is similar, accounting for a total of about 45 million people across both countries.
The descendants of those Teutonic pioneers have shaped North America’s history like few other ethnic groups. From Walt Disney to the Rockefellers; from Budweiser to Heinz ketchup; from Levi Strauss to Conrad Hilton; from Meryl Streep to Leonardo DiCaprio; from Linda Ronstadt to Justin Bieber; from John Steinbeck to Charles Bukowski; from Walter Cronkite to Jimmy Kimmel; and from Babe Ruth to Jack Nicklaus—American culture is suffused with a hint of sauerkraut and schnitzel.
Germany boasts two fascinating museums that explore the history of those who emigrated to North America in the 1800s and early 1900s. With immersive experiences that bring the past to life, these museums are wonderful places to gain a deeper understanding of your ancestors’ journey.
Research
Being bilingual, David will not only act as your translator throughout the trip, but beforehand, he will also be able to research information about your ancestors in German newspaper archives and official records.
David prides himself on his outstanding research skills, which his ghostwriting clients frequently comment on:
“I am awed by the accuracy of the people, places, and their moments in time. Masterful job!”
—Gary, psychiatrist, Minnesota (on historical novella)
“Great job! You have given it life, whilst also lending historical context. I can see you have really studied the materials I sent.”
—Matt, British aid worker (on novel based on a Victorian diary)
“Thanks for doing your own research to add to mine. Brilliant!”
—Anthony, English engineer (on book about Stonehenge)
“It’s obvious that you have done a considerable amount of research. It reads very well, and I am very pleased.”
—Berkeley, business owner, U.K. (on novel about Germans in 19th-century England)
